Work with Me
Are you looking at your life, seeing all the things you thought you wanted, and yet…
feeling unhappy – or not feeling much of anything at all, just coasting through life?
Maybe you have the job, the relationship, the white picket fence…
and you can’t help but constantly search for the next thing that you think will bring you fulfillment.
Maybe you’ll feel fulfilled if…
…you redecorate.
…you plan your next vacation.
…you find the right diet or exercise plan that will give you the sense of control you crave.
You stay busy, distracting yourself from what might be going on just beneath the surface –
emotions, sensations, and realities you’re not ready or willing to face yet.
Your perfectionism and people pleasing keep you focused on other people and their needs and emotions…
less sure of your own needs and desires, or how to prioritize or communicate them.
This keeps you more distant from your loved ones than you’d like…
you want to feel that sense of connection and intimacy, but something keeps getting in the way.
Deep down you KNOW something is missing.
There’s this underlying sense of dissonance or vague discomfort stemming from the incongruence in your life –
the life you’re living on the outside conflicting with the truth inside of you –
even if you can’t fully tap into that truth yet.
Part of why you’re so busy seeking fulfillment in one way or another…
is because you think you’ll find it outside of yourself,
and be able to finally dissipate this dissonance.
All the while not realizing (or maybe starting to feel a hint)…
that your fulfillment and congruence can be found in a deeper connection to yourself, to your own desires.
Yet you don’t know how to get there.
How can you tell the difference between your own desires and the desires you heard from your caregivers your whole life,
or the desires you saw in your culture all around you –
like obtaining a certain level of education or income, or your body looking a certain way?
How can you start to tune into your own body, energy, and inner wisdom,
to experiment with finding the answers to your own deep questions?
Here’s what one client has to say:
I see you. I FEEL you.
I want to live in a world where we’re all so deeply connected to ourselves,
that we use that connection as an anchor to guide each of our decisions and interactions,
in order to co-create the world we want to live in.
And yet because we’re human, we will not always be perfectly connected to ourselves;
so there is a gentleness, compassion, and nuance I invite into this journey of self-connection.
This gentleness, compassion, and nuance –
as well as collective care, equity, and deep, reciprocal connection with fellow humans and the Earth –
are all part of the world I want to live in.
I invite you to co-create this world with me. In my opinion, it starts by journeying within.
For me and my clients, part of our journey within includes how we relate to ourselves and other people.
We deepen these connections through self-compassion,
which builds our capacity to be with life’s difficulties -
decisions we realize we need to make,
boundaries we realize we need to communicate,
self-criticism popping up as we try out this new way of being…
It would be so easy to back down on these challenges,
without the skill of self-compassion.
I believe it is one of the main tools we need to create the life we desire.
If we haven’t met, welcome. I’m Whitney.
As a mom with a passionate drive to play my part in making the world a better place for my daughter, her loved ones, and the generations that come after them…
I’ve been on my own journey of deepening my relationships with those around me and myself —
including my emotions, my intuition, and my body.
I now know from experience that it’s possible to increase our capacity to be with difficulty,
which helps us show up as the people we want to be,
ultimately leading to a more fulfilling, satisfying life.
Coaching has played a big role in increasing these capacities for me.
We sometimes encounter uncomfortable emotions or sensations,
which we get to CHOOSE how to be with, including at what pace and distance.
It would be a joy to be with you as you turn inwards,
practice being with doable amounts of discomfort,
and open yourself up to your own inner knowing waiting for you on the other side.
My hope for you is that you learn to trust yourself, slowly but surely, with so much gentleness and compassion.
May you start to get curious about yourself, your energy, your body, your knowing, and your desires, with an imperfection that allows you to be messy in your exploration.
May you blossom into your fullness, knowing you are loved and worthy at each stage of the journey.
If you’re resonating with any of the above, I see you.
Here’s what others say about my coaching:
Whether or not we end up working together, I want you to know you are so loved and so worthy.
May you deeply know this and trust yourself.
